Office of Learning, Advising, and Balance

At the LAB (the Office of Learning, Advising, and Balance), we support the academic success of Mills students with diverse learning preferences, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences. The LAB offers multidisciplinary services that will help prepare you for lifelong intellectual and professional growth. Our services include:

The Office of Learning, Advising, and Balance also supports faculty across rank and discipline creating a campus-wide teaching and learning culture. The LAB organizes learning communities on pedagogy and professional development; supports and trains faculty advisors; coordinates writing workshops; and fosters experimentation with and adoption of emerging modes and models of teaching.
