Connecting to WiFi

Mills-Wireless

Welcome to our internal network. Because it is an internal network for the Mills community, that means that only active students, Faculty, and Staff have access to this network. In order to sign in, you will need to have your Mills login credentials.

Depending on which device you use (iOS/Android/Windows/Mac) you will receive different messages.  It is important to know that this new system requires secure certificates. Sometimes this is done in the background, and sometimes you have to select the appropriate options.

Macs

  • Click on Mills-Wireless from your list of available WiFi networks.
  • You will be asked for your Mills credentials first, before joining the network.
  • Next, you will be asked about verifying your certificate. Here, you may click continue.
  • Then you will be asked for a second set of credentials and these are the credentials for your laptop. Enter the username and password that you use to login to the computer.
  • After entering this, you should be connected to the network.

iPhones/iPads

  • Go to your settings.
  • Under the Wi-Fi  section, select Mills-Wireless.
  • Use your Mills credentials where prompted.
  • You will be asked about the wireless certificate, and in the upper right corner you may click on “Trust”.
  • This will get you connected.

PC’s

  • PC's may differ according to their operating systems.
  • Join Mills-Wireless from your list of available newtorks.
  • You can see the available networks by clicking on the WiFi icon on the bottom right of your screen.
  • Once you click on Mills-Wireless, you will be asked for your Mills username and passoword.
  • Enter your username and password
  • Click "connect".
  • You should now be connected to Mills-Wireless. 

Android 

  • If you need assistance, please contact the Helpdesk.

Troubleshooting Tip: If you are having trouble connecting to Mills-Wireless and have connected before, you can go into your settings to forget the Mills-Wireless network listed in your known networks and then rejoin. This clears out any saved credentials from previous sign-ins.
