Accessing Services

Students with disabilities who need academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, physical access, or other types of accommodations should contact Student Access and Support Services (SASS) in the Division of Student Life.

The process is:

1.Email stating that you are seeking accommodations and would like to schedule a meeting. If you have it, you can be productive and provide your medical documentation via email, to the Cowell desk, or via fax (510.430.3235).

In your intake meeting with a SASS staff member, you will discuss your needs and accommodations. After that meeting, you will be able to update your accommodations each semester online.

2. Register for your accommodations online as soon as possible utilizing the instructions here.

3. If your accommodations include extended time and/or a distraction reduced environment for testing, you will need to make reservations for each test you take through your student portal. Instructions are here: Exam Accommodations FAQ.

Appointments may be set up by calling 510.430.2130 or emailing
