Google Sites, included as part of the free Google Apps for Education, lets you quickly create a simple website without any knowledge of HTML. Sites created with Google Sites can be used for classes, classwork, creative, or personal projects and can be viewed by anyone on the Internet or restricted to an audience of only Mills users.

Who Can Use Google Sites?

Google Sites is available to all students, faculty, and staff with an active Mills account.

Faculty & Staff: Official College Business
Google Sites may not be an appropriate solution for departmental content. If you need to create a website or page that is directly related to the business of the College, please email webteam@mills.edu.

Getting Started with Google Sites

To access the Google Sites tool, go to https://sites.google.com and use your Mills account to log in. If you're already logged into your account, you can also get to the tool by choosing Sites from the Google apps icon in the Google bar.

What Can I Do with my Google Site?

Feel free to display your creativity and share with your friends, family, and the world. Previous web pages created by Mills community members have included creative work (writing, music, art, photography) as well as essays and academic papers. Just remember as you customize your site, that material on your site must not violate the Mills College Computing Agreement or federal, state, or local laws.

Mandatory Disclaimer Requirement

Sites you create using Google Sites are not part of the official Mills websites and must contain a disclaimer to that effect. An example disclaimer you can use is:
