Move-Out Instructions

Fall Move-Out

The residence halls (Warren Olney, Orchard Meadow, Lynn Townsend White, Ethel Moore, and Mary Morse) close for winter break. If you live in one of these spaces, you will have to move out over winter break, but your belongings can stay in your room.

Independent living spaces (Prospect Hill, Ross House, Larsen House Co-op, and Courtyard Townhouses) are open over winter break for their current residents who intend to live there in the spring. If you are leaving Mills College as of the fall, then your move-out date will be in December.

Underwood Apartments are also open during winter break. If you are leaving Mills College as of the fall, then your move-out date will also be in December.

How to Stay Late

We only offer late stay in the spring semester. The latest a residential student can stay on campus is Sunday, May 19, 2019. This would be an exception to the student contract and will only be granted to students in extreme circumstances. View our late-stay policy for details. To get on the late-stay list, you must contact HMDS at housing@mills.edu by May 19, 2019 at 4:00 pm. There is a nightly cost of $62 dollars associated to staying late.
