Diversity and Social Justice at Mills

Religious and Spiritual Diversity Resources

Welcome to Spiritual & Religious Resources at Mills, a virtual space where students, alumnae/i, staff and faculty can locate helpful resources and information. At Mills we talk about spirituality as “meaning-making,” the task of tying together the disparate threads of experience, knowledge, community and culture. For some of us, this meaning-making takes the form of a religious tradition in which we were raised or perhaps embraced over time. For others, it may involve connecting with a particular philosophy, spiritual practice, or understanding of the interconnectedness of all life. Whatever your grounding values for life, community, and cosmos, we are committed to creating space for you to bring your full self to the Mills community—which includes your spiritual and religious identities, practices, and understandings.

We invite you to explore these pages and embrace opportunities to engage in creative and critical conversation about how you and others make meaning of life and world. We welcome feedback and suggestions and invite you to email: diversity@mills.edu.

Student Organizations

There are a number of spiritual and religious related clubs on campus in which students gather to share and support one another in exploration and conversation. You'll find Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Pagan, and multifaith groups represented in the current listing of registered student organizations.

If you are interested in finding other like-minded students to start a particular group, feel free to contact the Director of Spiritual & Religious Life or the Office of Student Activities for assistance.
