Course Description

HSSM 001

HSSM offers selected first-year students an intensive two-module, four-week course of scientific inquiry, mathematics, and logic. Biology and chemistry are used as themes to develop study habits and laboratory experience, in addition to developing critical thinking, enhanced writing, and leadership skill. HSSM includes lectures, labs, readings, videos, class discussions, computer lab assignments, papers, laboratory reports, and examination. Course activities are graded on a Pass-No Pass basis.
