Renewals

  • You may not renew if another user has placed a hold
  • Reserves cannot be renewed
    • 2 hour reserves can be checked out again in person if no one else has requested it
    • 1 day reserves can be checked out again only after a 3 hour waiting period
    • We do not keep a waitlist for reserves

Lost or Damaged Items

  • Replacement charges for extremely overdue, lost, or damaged books: $60 replacement fee + $15 non-refundable processing fee = $75.
  • You can replace lost or damaged book with a new copy of the same edition and we will waive the $60 replacement fee.
    • Please talk to us before purchasing a replacement

Holds

  • If something is currently checked out, you can place a hold on it
    • From the catalog, search for your item and click on the title
    • Click on “Place a Holdt” link in the upper left
    • You will be prompted to login into your My Minerva Account
    • You will receive an email when the item is available. It will be held for you at the circulation desk for 14 days
  • If you urgently need something, you can ask a library staff member to recall the item for you.
