Favorite College Experience: (1) The collaboration between the Africa Students Association MEcha, the Asian Student Union, United People of Color, and other ASUC student groups to make Ethnic Studies a requirement at UC Berkeley. (2) Performing a spoken word piece at the East Bay Boogie Café as part of an assignment for my first doctoral course at Mills College.

Favorite College Experience: Serving in Jumpstart (SF State) and mentoring young children, I had the opportunity to build memorable bonds with educators, college students, and families in SF Bayview-Hunter's Point community. Between riding Muni with co-workers, singing songs in circle time, and reading books to a bunch of little smiling faces my incredible passion for equity in education was born.

Favorite College Experience: After going kicking and screaming to Summer Institute (SSS program’s summer bridge), I ended up having a great time and met many students who ended up becoming my friends throughout my college career. I feel like going really gave me a leg up in school and made the transition that much easier.
