Policy Spotlight & Resources

The mission of TransForm is to promote walkable communities with excellent transportation choices to connect people of all incomes to opportunity, keep California affordable, and help solve the climate crisis. Since 1997, when TransForm was founded, it has engaged in campaigns and implemented programs targeting three main policy areas: Public Transportation, Walking & Biking, and Land Use & Affordable Homes.

TransForm achieves its mission by focusing resources on including disenfranchised communities in the planning process and elevating the voice of those most affected by change. TransForm works both at the regional and state level to affect and influence policy decisions that determine transportation choices and mold our communities.

A number of Mills Public Policy students have served as interns at TransForm and we look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship with the organization.
