Introduction to Public Radio Reporting
Fall

Introduction to Public Radio Reporting This interdisciplinary course introduces students to the craft of radio reporting and the principles of public interest journalism, while also being a survey course about contemporary history in Oakland. Each student will learn the basics of public radio journalism. Students will learn reporting skills, field and studio production, and post-production. They will have weekly writing and broadcast assignments. For the final project, each student will choose a community organization or activist to profile in radio documentary style.
