Ups and Downs of Raising Babies: The Father's Perspective

This national study conducted by Amelia Newton MA and Dr. Carol George, Professor of Psychology at Mills College, asks fathers of children ages one to six months to describe their experiences with their baby and their co-parenting experiences with their baby's mother to further our understanding of the father perspective of being a parent. Fathers do not need to be married or living with the baby's mother to participate. Participation entails completing a 45-minute survey, available online or by request from the researchers. The Mother in You

This study conducted by Liz Walker, master’s candidate in the Infant Mental Health Program, invites mothers with children three to six months to participate in a study that inquires about experiences of being a mother and their experience with their own mothers. Mothers are asked to respond to a survey and participate in an interview, each of which takes approximately 30-minutes. Feeling What Happens: Body-Story-Relationship

This study, conducted by Ashley Newton, MA and Dr. Carol George, examines how people’s life experiences affect the way they think about relationship and sense emotions in the body. Adults over the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Participation takes about an hour and is conducted on Mills Campus at the Early Childhood and Family Research Lab. It includes completing a story-telling exercise and questionnaires on life experience, emotions, and body-awareness. All participants will receive a $25 gift card to Amazon or Target. Altibajos de Levantamiento de Bebés: la Perspectiva del Padre
