Course Description

ENG 258
Contemporary Fiction by Women
Fall

This course examines short fiction in English written by women since 1960. We consider form, style, and aesthetics, as well as historical context. We also examine literary representations of identity with special attention to the intersections of race, gender, class, nationality, and sexuality.
Offered every other year beginning 2020-21.
