Applying to the Upward Bound Program requires completing an application and gathering necessary documents to submit to the program for review. The application process includes an online application with two sections: one that you complete and one that your parent or guardian completes. To complete the application, you'll need to provide income information (public assistance documentation, food stamps, free lunch, AFDC, Cal-Works, Section 8, or tax forms), so have that ready before you begin.
Additionally a teacher or counselor must complete a school personnel recommendation for you as part of your application.
