Appointments

How Do I Schedule a Tutoring Session?

Students may make up to three hour-long appointments per subject per week, but appointments for any single subject must be on different days.

To schedule an appointment, you can use our online service WCONLINE. Appointments must be booked at least a day in advance. Learn how to use WCONLINE. You'll receive an email from WCONLINE to confirm your appointment. Note that the appointment is not confirmed until you receive this email.

Be sure you know where the appointment will be held. Most daytime appointments are in the Writing and Tutoring Center, and most after-hours appointments are in the library, but there are exceptions.

Appointment Cancellation Policies

  • If you must cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance through WCONLINE. If you need to cancel within 24 hours of the appointment due to an emergency, notify the tutor personally or the Writing and Tutoring Center via email at tutoring@mills.edu.
  • If you're more than 10 minutes late, the tutor may cancel your appointment.
  • After three no-shows or late cancellations, you’ll forfeit appointment privileges for the remainder of the semester. You may still attend drop-in hours at the Writing Center thereafter.
