Report of Efforts to Recruit, Retain & Support Black Students

Over the past few years, College leadership has been working with partners across campus to address the demands of the Black Students' Collective (BSC), formerly the Black Women's Collective. The following report details these original demands, actions taken to meet those demands, and the continuing work around concerns related to Black student recruitment, retention, and support at Mills College. View the report (August 2019).

In no way does the compilation of this report mean we are done with this work. Rather, it is part of our continuing effort to encourage transparency and communication as we work on systemic change across all our systems. Community members are invited to participate in this process by reviewing the report and sharing feedback with the dean of students. Use this form to share your feedback.
